Duong Lam Ancient Village Day Tour (Full Day) – With Lunch in a Traditional Old House
Itinerary
08:00–08:30 – Pick-up in Central Hanoi
Our driver and English-speaking guide will meet you at your hotel in central Hanoi. Enjoy a comfortable drive toward Son Tay, where the city gradually gives way to open fields and quieter village landscapes.
Arrival & Heritage Village Walk
Arrive in Duong Lam and begin a relaxed walk through the village’s iconic brick alleys and laterite homes, earthy, warm-toned walls that have stood for generations. Your guide will introduce the village’s story, local beliefs, and why Duong Lam is considered a cultural treasure of northern Vietnam.
Village Landmarks & Local Stories
Visit key highlights such as the communal house (đình), ancient wells, and local temples/pagodas (depending on opening times). Along the way, hear stories about ancestor worship, village festivals, and the quiet rhythms of rural life that still continue today.
Lunch in a Traditional Old House
Enjoy a hearty home-cooked Vietnamese lunch served inside a traditional old house. This is more than a meal, it’s a chance to slow down, share authentic countryside flavors, and experience real Vietnamese hospitality in a unique heritage space.
Afternoon: Deeper Exploration & Countryside Views
Continue exploring calmer corners of the village, hidden courtyards, village gates, and rural scenery perfect for photos. Depending on your pace and interest, we can add short stops for local snacks and everyday village moments.
Optional Premium Add-On (upon request):
- Easy Cycling Loop (45–75 minutes): a gentle ride on flat village roads past rice fields and gardens, with photo stops.
